| Sqwonk, what was your final ruling on prestige classes? I was thinking of maybe taking Master Specialist (from Complete Mage) for the abjurer. |

I am ok with PrC. As long as it does not get abused. _________________ "Your ideas intrigue me. I would like to subscribe to your newsletter." - Homer Simpson |

KidV, I would like to play a Beguiler, if you don't mind. I think it will be easier (or at least, faster) to play a spontaneous caster in combat. _________________ "My farts smell like oil." - KidVerisimilitude, deep-immersive role played warforged

For my cleric character, here's my concept:
A cleric of the Silver Flame (a Puritan, in fact), he unfortunately contracted lycanthropy when battling a weretiger. He spent years running/hiding from his own church, until he could get cured. He still worships the Silver Flame, but fears for his life at the hands of his former brethren.
Stat-wise, this PC will be a battle-oriented cleric, with some disguise-y stuff throw in as he continues to hide (as best he can) from his own church. _________________ "My farts smell like oil." - KidVerisimilitude, deep-immersive role played warforged

Did the Citadel buy his loyalty by getting him the cure?
OK, then I'll be playing a Super Abjurer. |

That sounds like something The Citadel would do.
I am assuming you are keeping your SF worship private.
Human?
with Lythancropy taint
But seriusly, did L leave any "marks"? _________________ "Your ideas intrigue me. I would like to subscribe to your newsletter." - Homer Simpson |

Are you still "Puritancial" in your views or more "world wise/tolerant"?

It is:
King
Country
Citadel
Faith

Well, that sounds a little more lawful neutral than I would play it. The King and Country part would include some lofty, patriotic ideals. He is still a paladin, after all. |

I like that angle a lot. Let's definitely put that in his backstory.
| Sqwonk wrote: | | I am assuming you are keeping your SF worship private. |
He certainly keeps it secret from the SF. And he does not advertise it in public. But, in combat, using that holy symbol will be a dead give-away. So, his Citadel companions will be informed on a "need to know" basis (i.e., anyone who adventures with him will know).

I was trying to avoid playing a human (again!) in your game. Any suggestions for race? I'm trying to be more "Eberron-y" with these characters...
In terms of marks, he has a large tatoo of a tiger on his back/shoulder. He doesn't know how it got there.... _________________ "My farts smell like oil." - KidVerisimilitude, deep-immersive role played warforged

| Well, you could play a shifter, but make your shifting ability a side effect of your former infection rather than from heritage. Otherwise, human probably is the best choice for a Flamer. |

He still hates lycanthropes, but not for a religious reason. Now, it's personal! He just hates them because one infected him. He is, overall, a little more tolerant, seeing the rigidity of the SF church as a bad thing. Self-preservation is a wonderful teacher.
I'm thinking middle aged. Several years in the church, several years hiding from the church, several years in the Citadel. _________________ "My farts smell like oil." - KidVerisimilitude, deep-immersive role played warforged

Ok, that's cool. Thanks for the suggestion!
Is that o.k., Sqwonk? He'll be a shifter, with the slightly imperfect cure for his lycanthropy making him a shifter (as the Eberron race). That keeps me away from humans for season 4. _________________ "My farts smell like oil." - KidVerisimilitude, deep-immersive role played warforged

So it is:
Characters:
Bealzubob - Duskblade and Archer
Knid - Warforged Paladin and Wiz-Abjurer super specialist
Barendd - Beguiler and Cleric _________________ "Your ideas intrigue me. I would like to subscribe to your newsletter." - Homer Simpson |

Having never really made a wizard before, I'm going to need help with spell selection.
So far:
1st (4 known)-Shield, Magic Missile, Grease, ?
2nd (4 known)-Resist Energy, ?,?,?
3rd (5 known)-Dispel Magic, Fly, Magic Circle against Evil, ?,?
4th (5 known)-Wall of Fire, ?,?,?,?
5th (4 known)-Wall of Force,?,?,?
His prohibited schools are Enchantment, Illusion, and Necromancy.
I'm thinking of Duelward from SPC for 5th, but I have to check the rules. |
