I was thinking about changing the NPC. He would be a Favored Soul / Marshall.
He would be similar to Wyndarr - but not get 4th spells yet. Those were his big blaster spells. But the mage coudl take care of that.
He would have a couple cool auras- giving everyone in a 60ft radius bonuses.
I think this will make him more of the the backround helper/healer guy. easier to run with a minimum of fuss. Everyone can concentrate more on their own characters.
